One Neuron, One Straight Line

A perceptron is the simplest neural network: a single neuron that splits the world with one straight line. Drop some dots, press Train, and watch it nudge the line each time it gets a dot wrong.

The rule: for a dot on the wrong side, add rate × label × position to the weights. If one straight line can separate the colours, this always gets there eventually. XOR can't be split by one line, so it never settles; that limit is why networks stack many neurons.
