Aircraft Manual English

Simplified Technical English, or STE, is the strict, plain English of aircraft manuals: short sentences, and one meaning for each word. This checker compares any text with a few of its rules, and it works just as well on answers from AI chatbots.

A simple, unofficial checker. The real rules (ASD-STE100) are free at asd-ste100.org and allow about 900 words; this checker uses a short list. Idea and the "hard to read" / "easy to read" examples from Andrej Karpathy's original post.
