Pune solapur highway

An amazing morning. Luckily I woke up early today, freshened up and set out to pune solapur highway solapur side. I passed through Hadapsar and began cruising at 30kmph. In the middle of the route one seasoned rider over took me. An extremely exited guy on a splendor told me that there were a lot more coming and were a little behind. He thought that a competitive race was going on. I was so exited and began slipstreaming that guy.

Unfortunately he had to take a leak! I went ahead bored but still much much better than city rides. One concern I have is that isn’t the carbon and smoke out of automobiles going to affect my health in the long run.

I found a toll and a mac d in the way. Too bad I did not bring my wallet. I began to get tired, looked at my strava it had only been 15.5 kms! I thought that I had done at least 20kms. This is where these nifty apps help a lot. They keep accurate track of the activity.

Return was very very punishing, mainly because of the ascend and also because I had zero carbohydrate energy. I stopped at a grape research Institute (yeah they exist! Pic below) and gulped down a whole bottle of slice. If I had not drunk that I would had to walk down! I was so tired.

Reached back amanora from Hadapsar side and checked strava that I had clocked 29.4 kms today. Also I completed 100kms in total today. Smooth journey so far. I hope that I continue and don’t have to shell out too much on maintenance.
